"angshortpresentation": "Compost as Superfood is an artistic research project exploring whether human-made, earth-like substances could be produced for voluntary human consumption, while critically examining the safety and complexity of ingesting organic matter.",
"angpresentation": "Compost as Superfood is a bio and food design project by masharu studio exploring the possibility of producing human-made soils with the purpose of eating them. Unlike natural soils, these materials can be produced under controlled conditions, potentially reducing exposure to contaminants such as microplastics, heavy metals and agricultural chemicals. The project responds to the increasing industrialization of food production and the use of pesticides and other non-organic materials, questioning the relationship between convenience, sustainability and health.\r\nCompost is created through the decomposition of organic materials by organisms such as fungi, worms, nematodes, protozoa and mites. It is rich in organic matter and can contain nutrients such as nitrogen and potassium, but its biological activity and humid environment can also support microorganisms that may make it unsafe for human consumption.",

"angcartel": "Compost as Superfood is a bio and food design ongoing project by masharu studio which explores the possibility of production of human-made soils with the primary purpose of eating them. The human-made soil holds different components from the natural soil, and could be considered a safer way to ingest earth, due to the considered lack in microplastics and heavy metals that may have contaminated non human-made samples. It is also important to consider that within an age of industrialization and increased speed in production, as well as a push for chemical convenience in agriculture, many non-organic materials such as pesticides may be added to earth, and increase the gap between manufacturing and sustainability. \r\nCompost is made from the breakdown of materials through the consumption and excretion of those materials by other organisms. It is mostly high in fibre and may contain potassium and nitrogen from the breakdown process. Its properties make it different from soil, and therefore has its own labelling and is used as a fertiliser. One may assume that it is unsafe to consume material waste that has solely (specifically with compost) been broken down by other organisms such as fungi, worm, nematodes, protozoa, mites and can be a breeding ground due to its humid nature for bacteria. This project delves into the ingestion of compost as a means to understand its properties and potential benefits for human health and environmental balance.",
